A quick hello

Their colour game gave us an idea. So we built it.

LDR Date is a site full of long distance date ideas. One of theirs — a colour matching game — is the whole reason Color Match exists on Angie. This is us saying thanks, and a place to try it before you send it to your partner.

Short version: a video of their colour game landed in my feed, I went and read their write-up, played it a bunch, and couldn't stop thinking about it. So I built a real two-player version. The full story's here if you want it — this page is just the game and the credit.

On Angie you play it with your partner instead of alone — same colour on both screens, both of you guessing blind, closest one wins. My favourite version is the one where only one of you can see the colour and has to describe it out loud while the other one mixes it. It goes badly and it's great.

If you actually need date ideas for tonight, skip my game for a second and go look at theirs. Vanessa and Mehrad ran a relationship across a twelve hour time difference for four years, so the site is written by people who actually needed this stuff, not padded out for SEO. Here's a few I liked:
